“Church is canceled? Well, sort of, we will be streaming it, and you can join from home.”
If you are one of those that congregate at least a few times a month in a house of worship upon hearing these words, you may have thought them a joke. “What do you mean the church is canceled, but I can stream it?” This will be an understandable reaction. Except that the reality of a fast-spreading virus, the real possibility that an increase of contagion will overwhelm our medical infrastructure of care, makes it so. Well, to say that church is canceled, is not the whole reality. Instead, we will be streaming church.
